kbratten 's review for:
The Lost Children Archive
by Valeria Luiselli
Pretentious, yes, but also really beautiful and astute. I'm not sure I would have made it through the written book, but the audiobook narrator had the most beautiful voice that carried Luiselli's words just right. I'll agree with critics that she was trying to wedge a lot of issues together, but It worked well enough for me, and when her children were lost, something clicked for me emotionally that I hadn't expected.
