I feel like this should have been better, its got all the ingredients bit just didn't come together into something really good. It probably didn't help that the male narrator sounded bored most of the time and his accent made the MMC's name (Fox) sound exactly like Fucks, which does somewhat lessen the impact of dramatic and emotional confrontations / love declaring.
