very moving and a perfect holiday read, but i feel like the realization that gabriel makes is not rushed but more superficial; is it just because your wife has loved another that you feel you haven’t loved? is that the extent, the shallowness of your love? anyways it’s a nice read and gabriel is definitely a relatable character in his awkwardness and distance, and his internal and external lives are vastly different. i enjoyed
