I loved this book! For fans of Homegoing, Hokeah weaves a tale of many Native American lives in Oklahoma, all through the thread of one man- Ever Geimausaddle.
We start in 1976 on Ever’s mother when he is just a baby, and each consequent chapter follows a different person throughout Ever’s life until we reach present day and see the man he’s grown into.
Ultimately, these stories beg the question- how does one overcome the hurdle of generational trauma and find a way to thrive in a world not built for your success.
This book os truly devastating at times, but worth every minute of your read.
