Are Snakes Necessary? by Susan Lehman, Brian de Palma

2.0

So, there're references to Vertigo (explicit this time) and
tragic inability to save someone
. On-brand.
Too peculiarly plotted (one of the storylines never converges with the rest, marching in a weird lockstep with them right to the finish line) to become a "propah page-turner". Entirely too knowingly throwaway, pulpy, melodramatic, what-have-you, in both prose and characterisation to, you know, become a real book.
Worth reading very fast or not at all. So, in a thinking man's estimation, probably not worth reading.
