Renegade Ruin by Hayden Locke

medium-paced

4.0

Well damn… I wasn’t expecting this much sadness in the beginning of the book. I had read the synopsis when it was released but I of course forgot what it was about. Bishop & Willow won over my heart in Midnight Renegade so I knew I would enjoy this one. It had been awhile since I read the novella so my memory of it was a little foggy. Luckily Hayden has our backs and put a refresher in the beginning. I still highly suggest reading “Midnight Renegade” but it isn’t necessary with her little summary of what had happened in the beginning of this one. Bishop & Willow are perfect for each other but it takes them awhile to fully see it. The angst was so so good and the steam 🥵 was piping hot!!! Both MCs are going through so much grief and are there for each other in certain ways and they think they won’t catch feelings 🤣 so you can only imagine the push and pull that this book brings. I thought it was very well written and although it did feel long, I really loved the pacing of it. I haven’t read a lot of baseball romances but when I’m in the mood for one I always think of Hayden Locke and her series “The Draft” and how I need more of the Renegades!!!
