Ugh, this book was a slog to get through. A hostage situation and opera sounds like an unlikely combination, but it could have worked, had the characters been even slightly interesting. Instead, there were too many characters to keep straight, and they were all generic and boring. The epilogue came out of left field; the two least compatible characters end up getting married and it made zero sense.
