Sherlock Holmes: The Voice of Treason by Cavan Scott, George Mann

4.0

An enjoyable eight-hour original full-cast audio drama
There is an elaborate plot to kidnap Queen Victoria and only Sherlock Holmes can stop it … or can he?
he can, and does
.
This was a well acted, enjoyable audio melodrama. It provides enough twists and turns to engross the listener from the start. The running time of 8 hours felt about right. The story gets off to a sluggish(ish) start. This is because it builds up the plot and fleshes out some of the less familiar characters. But after that, the book improves as it goes along. Some of the characters do sound a little similar. This meant that, at times, I wondered who was speaking. And the producer could have edited some of the scenes a little to speed up the action. But all in all a nice listen. As a listener don't expect Conan Doyle standards and this tale won't disappoint you.
