Nuclear Jellyfish by Tim Dorsey

1.0

DNF. I'd never read anything by Tim Dorsey before, but I knew he writes in the "wacky Florida" genre popularized by Carl Hiaasen. And like Hiaasen, it turns out his books would be a lot funnier if the constant sexism, abuse, and other violence were toned down or at least not played for laughs. I'd write off the whole genre were it not for Dave Barry showing it's possible to find the humanity in it.
