The Things We Do to Our Friends by Heather Darwent
3.0
First part was all atmosphere and second part all slightly rushed plot - maybe this could have been a rare case of needing to be longer?
- very readable
- Edinburgh setting was a yes for me
- love a crazy and remorseless character
- love a character who is mean for no reason / doesn’t return endlessly to whatever “trauma” caused it
- cover art didn’t slay as hard as necessary
- the other characters didn’t get quite enough air time, especially Ava
- Writing good with some v occasional cringe
