dolaya 's review for:
Johannes Cabal the Necromancer
by Jonathan L. Howard
Categories: Dry Humor, Fiction
Jonathan Howard's writing here feels like something of a cross between Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams, with a dead-serious (the joke is intended) protagonist and a supporting cast that ranges from the sincere-but-slightly-ironic to the patently ridiculous in a most British humor sort of way. The novel has a good plot, with prose that fits the character of Cabal perfectly. I would certainly recommend this book.
