The One Year Chronological Bible NLT by Anonymous

4.0

My church (Episcopal) says we read the Bible every three years. But we don't. We read portions. This past year I joined Traci Rhodes's online chronological bible group and read the whole thing. I loved the experience. How do you get through the "boring parts?" And the difficult parts that we seldom read in church? What does the Bible look like if we think of its being on a timeline? We focused on language, history, and what we connected with. My rating is not for the Bible, but the translation. I didn't love the NLT because it's not poetic. The Psalms read flat. BUT there's a clarity here that is helpful especially with regards to Judaism in the New Testament and it provoked many conversations I had with my Jewish family and loved ones.
