I'm not usually a fan of ghost stories (romantic or otherwise), so I was hesitant going into this, but it was a charming and poignant story about death and love and their interwoven natures. This was a lot more sad than I thought it would be, and the romance often took a backseat, but overall I thought this book was really lovely. It did drag at the beginning, and I was at times hyperaware that I was reading. I also was suprised by how tame the steamy scene was, given how much Florence talked about how much smut she wrote as a teen.
