Say You'll Be Mine by Naina Kumar

slow-paced

This book was sweet and refreshing. Especially if you read a lot of dark or smutty stories.
it is kind of like breathing clean air after being stuck in a cave with a bunch of cavemen for months.
The characters had their own lives and dreams that were stifled because of their families or love interests but still found a way to pursue them in the end. I truly loved that.
Karthik is the best! Compared to the usual behemoth type I usually read about, Karthik is a gentleman disguised as a robot and I think that is my new favorite type of MMC.
Meghna was so relatable, It hurt. I loved her so much! I already knew that the love interest before Karthik wasn't going to be it for her because she described Seth as "lanky". But when she describes Karthik it's like she just discovered reality TV.

I have to say that this book teased me. For around 300 pages, I thought they would have gotten together faster (Based on my history of short books). There were moments when they should have! But it was slow, in the best way! I hated it when they would get so close, but the reality of their agreement would hit them in the face so hard that everything went backward.

Also, the moment they did finally get together was very anticlimactic for me. I thought the book would be spicier so that is my fault to assume. It's as if I expected a rated-R movie, but ended up watching something PG-13.
