The Romantic Agenda by Claire Kann

This was such a cute book and I absolutely loved the main character Joy! This book has both the fake dating and grump x sunshine tropes. I’m not always a fan of fake dating, but I thought it was done well in this book. Not perfect, but better than some others I have read.

As someone who identifies as asexual, I loved being able to not only see asexual Rep but also TWO black individuals who identify on the ace spectrum because yes, asexuality exist on a spectrum.

I’m not usually a romance reader, mostly romance typically follows a predictable plot (as it should), but I wasn’t expecting the romance duo to be what it was, when I picked up this book, so that was a nice surprise.

I will also add the main romance doesn’t really develop until like 70% through the book, so if that is something you don’t like, you might find this book annoying. I thought it made sense to develop later to really drive home the plot.

Overall, I thought this was a very cute book that I could see myself picking up again.
