The Invention of Sound by Chuck Palahniuk
4.0
Well folks, he did it again! Chuck Palahniuk takes us to all those nitty gritty rabbit holes that live inside our minds. A hefty dose of satire breathes life and human imperfections into each character. He takes you further than the red tape your psyche tries to create and forces you to let that dark imagination wander.
Was this his best book? Uhm, well, I’ll let you decide. Would I read it again? Abso freaking lutely!
This particular story’s style reminds me of his earlier books. It is chaos and distraught storylines. His characters lives blend between one another and he often hops between their different points of view. But maybe this was part of the message… life is chaos. And everything is tied together in ways we would often care to forget.
