Poor Unfortunate Soul: A Tale of the Sea Witch by Serena Valentino
1.0
Well this book was incredibly disappointing, how is this the story of the Little Mermaid from Ursula's perspective when Ursula is barely in the book?!
I mentioned in my review of book 2 that the three sisters really annoyed me, well guess who this book is mainly about (no not Ursula, where would you get that idea from!?). It made the story practically unreadable which is a feat for such a short book with large text. Ursula was probably featured in about 20-30 of the 200 pages. She is a side character in her own book?!
I absolutely love Ursula and she might even be my favourite Disney villain however I just felt like this book didn't do her justice, there were so many other things going on and the story just rarely focused on her.
I'm not sure there's much more to say, I really would not recommend this book. It isn't really about Ursula, more about three ridiculously annoying witches who I absolutely despise. Don't be sucked in by the idea that this is about Ursula's backstory, it really isn't.
