The Dip: A Little Book That Teaches You When to Quit (and When to Stick) by Seth Godin
informative
inspiring
slow-paced
1.5
At it's heart the dip is a motivational book that is intended to 1) teach what a dip is and when to recognize it and 2) invite you to push through the dip.
My biggest issue is that I fully believe this already short book could have been half the length. By the first 20 pages, I could probably have aced a quiz on what else would be in the book. A lot of points go around in circles, and there were moments where I fully convinced myself that there must've been a word count quota that Godin was trying to meet.
I liked the concept of a dip, but I ultimately felt like I gained nothing from the dip. Maybe that says more about me than it does the book.
