Ever wondered if you become a cat lady if your cats will eat you when you die alone? Or if you can have a Viking funeral down the Humber?

‘Death Expert’ Caitlin Doughty answers these questions and more in this non-fiction book which came about mainly to help answer sometimes bizarre questions about the dead which she mainly received from children.

It’s an interesting and educational read which if you’re a follower of the author you’ve probably come across many of the answers before but if not you might find handy to randomly know.
Although aimed at answering children’s questions the book does get into some heavy science so is not juvenile and would appeal to a lot of adults too.

The illustrations are delightful and although I would have liked it to be a bit longer or some of the answers to be a little shorter - she does go on a couple tangents, it’s a quick read which could help you in a pub quiz one day.

Also the quick answers are: not before your dog gets to you and unfortunately no.
