"Without you, I'm lost."

Alex Volkov. Well, wow. It's taken me a few days to sit and write this review because I'm still not sure how I feel about this book. Ava is a delight. She's strong -stronger than most young FMC, I think. She has huge things to overcome. And in the life of this sunshine delight of a woman and her charismatic, happy go lucky brother, comes this dark mess of a man who...just wants to belong to their family? I don't know. Individually I liked the characters, but the storyline was a bit wild- a bit messy and chaotic. It was hard to follow at times. I want to like it so much and I want to read the rest of the series, but I'm not sure it's for me. It could be it's too young of a book for me? I don't know. Maybe I like my young FMCs riding dragons and such.

I did enjoy this though:
“Everything he has ever touched, everyone he has ever loved. I will ruin them until they’re nothing more than a pile of ashes at your feet.”
