Daughter of Fortune by Isabel Allende

Did not finish book. Stopped at 29%.

 I'm not in the headspace for this. Not to mention how often the author refers to anything of Chilean Note as "Chilean" over and over which I'm finding to be a bit much. The first few chapters built up the world and I'm aware it's taking place currently in Chile so I feel that Allende's overdoing it with the repeats.

It's much slower paced than the I expected and it's taken me up to this point to realize I have very little interest in it right now. Might revisit it later.
