Becstar #1 by Joe Corallo
2.0
I was quite interested in reading this, unfortunately, most of the time I was like what is going on?, which isn’t a good sign to begin with.
This is a sci-fi story that had a nice premise but the more I read, the more confused I was. Apparently, there are four people who held amazing powers: Bec just happens to be the lucky one.
On top of that, I couldn’t connect with the characters and most of the time I was squinting my eyes in disbelief ‘cause the ‘plot twists’ felt quite predictable for me.
I’m not gonna lie, the art is bright and colorful, which is something I always love, but story-wise it wasn’t my cup of tea. And I’m not sure I’ll be continuing the series, which is a bummer.
