Blood, Sweat, and Pixels: The Triumphant, Turbulent Stories Behind How Video Games Are Made by Jason Schreier
4.0
Well, I didn't like the insinuation that crunching is somehow a part of the business we can't get rid of. Though, in all fairness, he _does_ also present people with a different view of things, and in the few years since this book was written the general awareness of related issues has improved, so who knows.
But I liked basically all the rest, and I really appreciate the author's reporting style, and the fact he explained it at the beginning.
Recommended to anyone who is interested in games, their development, or wants to know about all the various pieces that make a game come together.
