Beautyland by Marie-Helene Bertino

Achingly profound and deeply relatable. So full of love and compassion for humanity, even when seen from the perspective of someone who feels so very different. I felt such a kinship in the narrator's way of observing others. As a young undiagnosed autistic person I also used to sit and watch everyone around me and feel mystified by their choices and drives. This book reminded me of Harriet the Spy for similar reasons.

A real sleeper hit. Don't pass this up if you're neurodivergent.
