Obsessed!! The storytelling is captivating and immediately reminded me why I love fantasy! I like the exploration of grief and trauma, especially related to death because it's hard to sit with the discomfort.

Bree's
combined bloodlines are messy, and I like how the author lets it be complicated and uncomfortable. There's nothing good about why she's a descendant of Arthur, but Bree knows that's the reality and makes her choices carefully now that she knows. Her bloodlines also ask the reader to hold all of these complicated things and be ok with the discomfort

I also love the setting of UNC Chapel Hill! It was fun to see passing references to bojangles and cheerwine :')

There were so many moments that surprised me in big and small ways like
Bree being a descendant of Arthur at the end and more and more characters being associated with the order at the beginning

My brain is smooth, so it was almost too much to keep all of the terminology straight at first! But it did get easier throughout the book
