This book was sooo much better than the first one. It feels like two different people wrote the first two books of this series. This one flowed much better, had better interactions between the characters, and Celaena was a wayyy better MC.
Unfortunately, I have been spoiled on many plot points of this series due to social media, but I will would have guessed the ending. And the same of Nemiahs fate.
I liked the relationship she had with Chaol, and although I get why she was so upset with him, I felt so bad for him too. He’s the epitome of a golden retriever, loyal to the end, way too good for his own good. Obviously, even without knowing that Rowan comes in the next book, Chaol is just not a good fit for her. So I’m excited to see how she meshes with him.
Lots of new information thrown at us so hopefully more makes sense in the next book.
