Pet Sematary by Stephen King
4.0
An excellent horror without too much colour
I have read extremely few horror books, not really my 'area'. Given that, this is by far the best one I have read. The family element of course makes it more REAL like and gives us a sense that 'things' do exist.
I think my favorite bit ( SPOILER HERE) was that the 'ghost' wasn't really described at all. The fact that it possessed different people ( or even animals) was far more scary than if he had a physical form. The place had a power. The Power was doing it ALL and that power still exist.
The story itself may not have been that scary for say but the writing is what won this one ! Stephen King is a genius story teller ! He maneuvered the story so brilliantly and of course the scene setting in writing was on point as well.
The last few pages were extremely thrilling ! The ending just made this book a perfect horror !
