The amount of stress and frustration that coursed through my veins was insane! The frustration in Emma’s mom, in the miscommunication.... like holy shit.

And people may give her shit for it but o understand Emma’s complicated feelings. The line “holding a grudge is like swallowing poison and expecting the other person to die” beautifully represents her feelings. She grapples with herself knowing that the poison she knows she’s swallowing is vile but also knows that a grudge is futile and ill of empathy.

Reyna pissed me off at first, she was a very aggressive tsundere but when she asked “when will they ask us what we think” I gained a new respect for her. It’s understandable wanting to keep those important to you safe but I think those we want to keep safe would also like to do the same for us. If we have the choice to protect, they should have that too.

It ended in a perfect package (mostly), the one ship I had did not happen but ill just deal I guess. The kind of endings I love a lot. But now I see there’s a third book and I’m super excited. I just want to see more of the characters and this universe. It’s beautifully cute.
