The Cursed Witch by Chandelle LaVaun

DNF 6% This is not a review as much as a reminder to myself why I didn’t finish it. When I pick it up again in a year and wonder why I never finished, I will be reminded.
This is just annoying. Girl with amnesia. Guy who has all the answers. An audience who only knows bits and pieces of the larger story. Meh.
I do not know why but the description of the heroine put me off. She’s young and beautiful and fiery and has LAVENDER eyes. What? (The hero us GOLD eyes.) The heroine is like a panicked animal. The scene is bizarrely empty. The hero knows what’s up but just wanders around instead of saying “Hey Saffie, let me tell you what’s happening.” Nope. Just going to wander around freaking her out while she freezes to death. He says that he was supposed to be hidden and that her seeing him was a mistake but come on, dude. She’s freezing and terrified. Come up with a plan B.
No one notices the gold glitter she leaves everywhere.
I don’t know. It was like the author was thrilled to have a story to hide from the audience, purposefully keeping us in the dark, and it just didn’t work to make me interested.
