Saga, Vol. 10 by Brian K. Vaughan
5.0

I put off reading this for so long partly because I wanted it to last. And partly because it scares the shit out of me. You never know when it's going to go from a magic moment between characters to a horrific death.

In a way I like that Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples took such a long break between stories. It gave me time to re-read it all over again so I could come into this fully aware of everyone's situation.

The artwork continues to be beautifully drawn by Staples. I'm sure I've said it before but her artwork is just as important to this story as Vaughan's writing and I couldn't see myself reading any version of Saga that doesn't include her as artist.

I love the evolution of the characters, particularly Hazel. It's great seeing her grow up on the page and become her own person, it really feels like we're along the ride for her life story. I also really love that you're never quite sure where all of the other characters are going to end up. Will they die randomly? Will they become allies to our motley crew or will they go from ambivalent to outright evil?

I have no idea where it's all going and I love it.
