This was actually really good. I liked the magical realism (?) aspect woven into it, it flowed very naturally. And the main romance aspect never takes over the whole narrative, its always at its core about the main character and her thoughts and her ambition and her life. That being said her being in love with her friend, the yearning and the hiding of her feelings was very beautifully written. Overall, a lovely sapphic book.
