Everything I Wish For by J. Hutchison

4.0

A perfect end to the Lupine Series with the story of best friends, Brad and Lauren.

Brad and Lauren have been friends since they were teenagers, and have always been there for every high, low, and Christmas tradition. There has been relationships on both sides, but the small community of Lupine Valley, and even their own families see, that there is more than just friendship. Lauren had the end of her own engagement around the holiday season, and now her brother is getting married, and the last thing she wants, is to be "set up" by her Mum. However, when she says to Mum that her boyfriend Brad is coming as her plus 1, she is then faced with needing to ask Brad if he will be her "fake boyfriend".

Brad of course, jumps at the chance as, like for Lauren, he has always loved his best friend, but will an accident from his past, threaten to derail there burgeoning attempt at taking their friendship to a love match? Of course, Brad and Lauren need to "play up" to loved ones and friends that they are in a relationship, but then those lines were blurred long ago. When they spice things up and try being friends with benefits during this week of wedding celebrations.....well, its not long before some insecurities and their pasts collide. J. Hutchison delivers a beautiful read again, with relatable characters and emotion perfect for the holiday season.
