City of Glass by Cassandra Clare

4.0

I have to preface that my daughter read the book first and has no will to not share the secrets. So as I was reading, not a lot surprised me.

With that said, Clare is a good writer and I love how she weaves the religious and supernatural together in a world completely of her own making. I did even comment that I would have loved to seen the storyboards Clare created while writing this series. There are so many different types of Demons that I cannot imagine it was easy to keep the all straight. I am not one for the 'comic book' version of popular books, but this is one I would love to see painted in a photo book. An artist bringing to life the Fairie world, the Demons, everyone including the Angels. That would be a book worth buying if the artist was good.

I love the funny comebacks and comments from the characters. They come to life in those moments and what more could you ask for? So much comes to light in this chapter I wonder what will be yet left to say. At least from here on out I may be surprised, my daughter has only given away minor clues from here on out!
