I both read and listened to this book, and I had SO MUCH FUN! The hilarious situations Rose found herself in, her adorable family, and the witty banter made me laugh so much -- and the depictions of grief, the compassion for the dragons, the gentle support of Mr. Aubrey, and the dose of heavy practicality about what it meant to be a woman in that period almost made me cry. I was so angry at Sir Gareth's threats, and so relieved by the ending. This book really brought all the emotion, and I enjoyed it all the more as I listened to Emma Newman's spectacular performance. This is definitely a book to revisit, and I hope the author writes another installment in this series soon!
Note: I also really loved that, for once, I got to see a name similar to my own in fiction.
