Lenix and Connor have stolen my heart. I’m as obsessed with them as Con is with HIS WIFE 🥺🥹🖤.
Possessiveness is not something that I always enjoy but watching him be so possessive over her was one of my favorite things about their relationship because even though possession was something Lenix hated because she associates it with what she experienced and saw in the society she was raised in, he never used it as a means to control or hurt her in the ways Sacro Nuntio did. I’m not gonna lie, I was kind of a Connor hater in book one, I thought he was kind of a bitch but this book showed such a different, softer side to him and I take back any slander I thought about him 😭🤪. He was still kind of an asshole, don’t get me wrong, but when it comes to Lenix, he was so protective and absolutely worshiped her even when they hated each other and I ate it uppppp.
And Lenix; her background was one I was super interested in. What she experienced in her childhood broke my heart but the life and personal she created after leaving Sacro Nuntio was so badass. Although she was very rough around the edges and quick to tell Connor off, she could also be very vulnerable. I really loved how Naomi showed us Lenix struggling through her guilt of what she did as well over who she’d become since she was that very naive and innocent girl who ran away and ended up in Noxport. I loved how we did get moments where Lenix confided in Connor and took solace in him and ultimately entrusted him with her life. They were really meant to find each other after being so drawn to each other since she got to Noxport, despite being resistant to it at first.
I really enjoyed the overall plot and the way the trilogy has developed, I can’t wait to read the last one! 😭 so far I think this one is my favorite but I didn’t think Sunny and Byzantine could be topped and yet here I am, absolutely feral over Lenix and Connor, so I am sure Lucy and Bastian will absolutely fuck me upppp in the best way.
I can’t not talk about the spice because…. It was 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 delicious. So spicy and sensual and emotional and just amazing!!!!! Naomi is a top tier spice writer, and I will read absolutely anything they write at this point!!!
****please read trigger warnings at the beginning of the book before reading, this definitely has some dark elements that could be triggering****
