The tension build up was amazing. This was the kind of book that I think about even when I’m not reading it. However the ending felt very unsatisfying. MAJOR spoilers: bea’s whole involvement didn’t make sense. i get she felt trapped but i don’t think it would have gone that way and it felt very pointless.
Graphic: Body horror, Child abuse, Suicide, Blood, Kidnapping, and Pregnancy
Moderate: Infidelity, Car accident, and Alcohol
Minor: Bullying
