This was a weird book, I honestly can’t tell if I liked it or not. It was well-written and evocative, but none of the characters were particularly endearing to me and the protagonist narrator was definitely often petulant and self-absorbed and deceitful. Interesting exploration of the unswept corners of the human mind, but some aspects asking for suspended disbelief were too tall of an ask for me. I loved the animal characters!
