This is a fast paced, story where everything falls into place, making it a fantasy come true. Capri is recently out of a lonely marriage and off to find a new start by vacationing on the Amalfi coast in Italy. Nothing short of a fairytale moment, she meets the most alluring man she’s ever seen and they connect instantly. Their brief encounter must be a fluke, as neither one of them believe they’ll see each other. Fate has other plans however. They decide to make the most of their short time together exploring each other, as well as the beautiful locale.
Jones and Capri are inexplicably drawn to one another, unlocking things in themselves they never anticipated. Neither wants whatever they’re feeling to end, but how can this once in a candy shop encounter lead to anything more? Especially when they live on opposite ends of the world? That persistent Fate intervenes again, and a friendship brews, though platonic feelings are so not the vibe between them. Jones and Capri each have deep seated insecurities fighting to keep them apart. Will those feeling win out, or can they overcome them for a love neither of them expected?
I have to say, the name Jones Archer is just, well, Hot! Oof, then he’s *almost* a silver fox? AND he’s narrated by Sebastian York?? C’mon, give a girl a chance to let her ovaries settle! Jones is an MC of many a gal’s dreams, mine included. He’s (finally lol) mature, handsome, responsible, respectful, supportive, sees her, cares for her, has a filthy mouth 😮💨, and just plain loves her. SebYo did a magnificent job narrating this character down to every minor detail. He is one of THE BEST in the business. There isn’t anything he could narrate that I wouldn’t fall for!
Capri (from Capri) has a lot of growing to do in this book. She was in a loveless marriage at a young age, lost confidence and so much more. Though she doesn’t feel she’s ready for anything serious, the draw to Jones is just too strong to ignore. Stefanie Kay did a fantastic job bringing Capri to life. This is my first time listening to her and I was really impressed with her performance. Her acting played well off of SebYo, creating a great listening experience for the reader.
Thank you to Indy Valentine and Must Love Audio for allowing me to listen to and review this perfect for summer title! I now have a new author and narrator to look out for, as well as listening to one of my all time favorite narrators too!
🛥️“You’ve never thought about a woman before?” I tease. He chuckles. “More like, I’ve never been so lost in a woman I just met.”
🇮🇹“Mmm, more than you know. Now, get that pretty ass out there so I can watch you walk away.”
🛥️“You like that? Does my golden girl like being praised?”
🇮🇹“You smell so sweet, Capri. I could get drunk on you.”
🛥️“I’m a grown-ass man. A man, Capri. I want a woman. Curves, cellulite, stretch marks, full tits and all. Gives me something to hold onto. Don’t hide that from me. I beg of you.”
🇮🇹“We were meant to meet each other, even if it’s only for a week. I believe people come into our lives with intention, no matter how they enter and when they leave. It’s the tattoo they leave behind that matters.”
