“A beautiful, dark ode to aesthetic and romantic asexuality.”

No Spoiler Review:

This book was beautiful. Truly achingly beautiful. The writing was attractive and addictive, the setting although in two main locations was still uniquely descriptive. The characters were fleshed out, and the plot was attention grabbing. I spent the last week hooked on the book, caught by it while reading and obsessed while I wasn’t.

It showed a perfect portrayal of what it’s like to be a romantic asexual, or at least one version of it.

My only complaint was just how repetitive the characters were at points. There’s obsessive thinking and devotion, repetitive writing style that forwards the plot and tone, but at some points it got a tad much in this book.

Still going to read Hawthorne once it’s released in October. If it’s anything like this, I’ll obsess just as much as I did here.
