Beastly Bones
by William Ritter
*4.5 Stars*
I was going to give Beastly Bones 4 stars, but Ritter really pulled through in the last half. In the first fifty or so pages, I was annoyed with the author for changing Abigail's character in such a way that she read as someone weak who needed to prove herself. But by the last 50 pages, it became clear that Ritter had designed her to read as someone who would defy those expectations, allowing Abigail to really discover herself and her desires. As with the first book, the supernatural is secondary to the wonderful characters themselves. Another hit from Ritter.
