ok, look. I liked this book, a lot actually. because the characters actually have depth, they have motives to act the way they do, and I feel like the author opens a lot of points to be closed later (like the parents of the main characters and their relationships), but somehow forgets to close them? when the book hits the 78% mark, everything starts to get rushed, and I feel like poppy even loses herself (I don’t get why she would go back to the guy who cheated on her and treated her like crap, just because sam did not answer her email? lame.).
I enjoyed the little “speak now” moment of the wedding, but we wait 400 pages for the couple to finally be together and it’s that little underwhelming scene of talking on the phone. i don’t know, I have it three stars just bc it starts out strong, but loses it at the end.
