Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell

5.0

I am in absolute awe of the poignancy and sensitivity of this book. Even though I was expecting it to be a good read I didn’t not expect to feel such depths of pain and understanding of Agnes.

This book was much more difficult than I expected and it will stay with me for a long time. Although it portrays such sadness, O’Farrell’s writing manages to situate it in a forgiveness and hope that washes over the reader like a shower.

Beautiful.
