The audiobook gets a lower rating because the narrator whispers too much. Sometimes I wouldn't even be able to hear it. The only reason I didn't miss anything important is because I was reading along with the book. I don't know how he got away with the whispering, or maybe they could hear him then. I could not hear a thing! Not to say his narrating is bad, he just whispered too much, like use a stage whisper so we can hear you sir!
I couldn't stand Tomas by the end, and dreaded his chapters. Pug is still my favourite and I enjoyed Arutha and Martin's stories.
For a book that's supposed to be about Pug, though, this one did not have enough Pug. It wasn't bad, though, so I'm not complaining too much. I just wish we'd been made aware that it's not just about one person and has many POVs.
