I am glad that I am reading this years after I read the original series because man oh man I would have been pissed about some events. But since I have mostly forgotten it so it didn't do much harm.
No coming into this series. Ah sorry to say but this book was hella boring. I wasn't really that invested in any of the characters. The plot of kinda non existence, anticlimactic, and had zero thrills. And lacked any sort of luster to it.
The romance was so insta love, like just one meeting and baam, it's horrendous. Hated it
Anyway I already own all the next books in the series. And have for years, so now I will have to read all the rest too. I wouldn't have really decided to move on if this wasn't the case because for me the first book isn't gripping enough to invest myself. But since I own the books and a lot of reviews say that book 2 is great so yeah I have some hopes✌🏾
