the wound is the place where the light enters you (rumi)

i hated myself in those moments, the uncontrollable pleasure--the way pleasure enslaved me, as if there was no part of my being that was not constructed from the meaninglessness of that desire.

as a writer, i had no faith in emotions. ideas, concepts, intellect--they shape history and change the world. hope, love, and loss--what else can be said about these things that we do not already know?

how long do you wish to stay arboreal? how long do you wish to remain frozen like this before moving on to your next adventure? you can move on now. you must know i have been here before. i can be here again!

this is where you have always begun, and to which you may return, a beginning that is also without end.
