Kingdom of the Cursed
by Kerri Maniscalco
I liked this book SO MUCH more than the first book. The MC is finally starting to find her own voice, though she’s timid and second guessing many of her decisions. The world-building is super interesting, bringing lore from fairytales and myths to reality and sort of humanizing them, while also adding it’s own unique elements. Similar to ACOTAR in the way that the first book doesn’t do too much other than setting up the rest of the series, but it had me hooked. It’s very well-written and progresses well.
