Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe
3.0

This is the second time that I've read this novel. Re-reading it after high school was interesting because I had forgotten a lot of the details. In the end, I think that those were what really made the book for me. The different cultural practices and religious rituals that the Ibo people made were so fascinating to read because the way that the author presented them was very organic and it was easy to see why the people were so confused when the colonists tried to change every aspect of the community. The ending was very somber, and I would've liked to see the author maybe going into the events that occurred afterwards.
