Charlie and Ever the start to the Academy series. Charlie watched his mother leave his dad when he was young due to how involved in the forces his dad was. Charlie vowed to never be serious with someone because he knew he couldn’t give them everything he wanted. So one night stands and hook ups from the bar were his go to. Until Ever. Ever comes from a long bloodline of woman who act as mistresses and can only last for 30 days. Ever doesn’t like the cheating husbands so her idea of mistress is being a mistress to a man’s work. So when she sees Charlie at the bar he’s perfect. He’s handsome and looks like a man completely dedicated to his work. So for the first 31 days they have the best sex anyone could imagine. Ever broke her 30 day rule for him. That is until her mom calls and says that she regrets following these guidelines and wishes Ever would find true love. So Ever drops Charlie to start going on dates. That’s when Charlie gets jealous and starts making sure all of her dates go wrong and being their to catch her when they do. That’s when he realizes he really wants to be Evers friend so maybe he can convince her back into their old routine the way things were. Whether he have to pull a fire alarm at a restaurant, or have a whole crew of police screw up a fast dating event. He even went so far as to create a fake dating account just to look at her pictures that was until they matched and she wanted to go on a date with him. Charlie didn’t realize how much Ever truly meant to him until his dad had a heart attack and the person he asked for was their mother who had left years ago. That’s when Charlie realized he didn’t want that. When he came out of the hospital room Ever had left to go tell her tinder date she was sorry but she was with Charlie. Charlie made the mistake of going to the restaurant to get her just for her to realize is had been Charlie all along, so with a whole line of police cars he serenaded her and asked her to be his and apologized. And it all worked out in the end. Ever pulled Charlie out of his terror to love someone for them to leave and Charlie pulled Ever out of her need to be a work mistress.
