Dr. STONE, Vol. 26 by Riichiro Inagaki, Boichi

adventurous mysterious fast-paced

3.0

So not sure how I wanted this series to end, but time machine and alien technology is one way. I don't love this ending because it's not quite in line with the emphasis on science (vs. the speculative) that we've been focused in this whole time. It's certainly an open-ended conclusion, yet also bringing this story to kind of epic proportions, but there you go.

I've had a fun time reading this, and I'm eagerly anticipating what the anime has to bring (I enjoy watching this a bit more than reading it). It's been a great experience nonetheless, and I'm happy to say I had a good time. We get satisfying conclusions in some respects- Yuzuriha and Taiju's wedding, Ruri and Chrome's "upcoming" nuptials, some grand science-ing, Senku (thankfully) staying single, Chrome and Suika as dedicated scientists, etc. We even had a moment with Tsukasa and Hyoga considering they'll be judged in a court of law for the lives they've taken...which Gen sort of hand waves away, but this was a decent ending. I wonder if there will be more adventures in the future like a part 2 (besides the limited series brought out by Boicchi, etc). If so, I'll be getting excited.
