4.5

This second book was a lot easier for me to get through. I suppose now that I was more familiar with the characters and the world it was a lot easier to be invested. I actually felt myself growing more attached to the major characters, then I did in the first book. Likely because not everything revolved around Rand in this book. One thing that did stay the same was the ending being incredible.
Update 20/10/2021
I'm going to down the star rating from 5 to 4.5 now that it has been processing in my head for a bit. The reason is that everything that happened towards the end in Falme felt way too easy.
Like I'm very happy that we didn't see much of Egwene's life as a damane, because I don't know if I could handle more of it. It could also take a way the impact due to repetition. But her being freed and the taking of the horn and the dagger was just all a little too easy. Especially Rand's fight with the swordmaster, he should be dead after that.

Something positive that I would like to mention about the series is the way Robert Jordan foreshadows things. The way he can make all of us have the same view of someone eventhough the characters view them very differently
like Selene/Lanfear
